CARE 2x can be used in:
# hospitals with a computer network
# clinics with a computer network
# private medical practices with a computer network

# a wide area network of hospitals, clinics, private practices, laboratories, and individual physicians and health care workers

CARE 2x will work on a single computer. However, once the number of computers increases, it is important that they are networked together, otherwise, the data sharing capabilities of CARE 2002 are defeated.
For developers, it is highly recommended that CARE 2002 is installed in a network where a realistic hospital environment can be simulated.

CARE 2002 is NOT designed nor intended for use (whether free or sold) as on-line control equipment in hazardous environments requiring fail-safe performance, such as in the operation of nuclear facilities, aircraft navigation or communication systems, air traffic control, direct life support machines or weapons systems in which the failure of the software could lead directly to death, personal injury, or severe physical or environmental damage ("high risk activities").
